One of the most popular movies in black culture is set to return to theaters as confirmed by Eddie Murphy. The sequel to Coming To America will be written by Black-ish creator, Kenya Barris under Paramount Pictures.
According to Rolling Stone, Eddie Murphy said, “After many years of anticipation, I’m thrilled that Coming to America 2 is officially moving forward. We’ve assembled a great team that will be led by Craig Brewer, who just did an amazing job on Dolemite [Is My Name], and I’m looking forward to bringing all these classic and beloved characters back to the big screen.”
It is said that the plot will surround Prince Akeem as he returns to America in search for the heir to the thrown of the African nation Zamunda, his lost son.
Are you here for it or should they leave the classic alone?
